Zyban side effects
- headache

- seizures (fits) are rare.

- Vomiting and nausea flatulence (gas)
- Headaches
- Sleep disturbances and abnormal dreams
- Flatulence (gas)
- Changes in the way food tastes (Dysgeusia)
- Constipation
- Suicidal thoughts
Of the above side effects, the most commonly reported one is nausea. There have recently been a number of reports purporting to link Chantix with an increased risk of depression, psychosis, suicidal thoughts or in the worst case scenario, suicide.
The FDA has issued a special advisory warning about side effects if this stop smoking drug.
Before using stop smoking drugs, tell your doctor if you are pregnant or you have:
- heart disease, an irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure or chest pain;
- a jaw condition called TMJ (temporomandibular joint) disease;
- an overactive thyroid;
- diabetes;
- pheochromocytoma (tumor of the adrenal gland);
- liver or kidney disease;
- a stomach ulcer;
- asthma or chronic pulmonary disease.
Smoking cessation may alter the effects of certain medications and supplements on your body. Tell your doctor about all the medications and supplements you’re taking.
It is especially important if you’re taking inhaled insulin, asthma medicines or blood thinners.
